Job content

As our Process Operator, you support the manufacturing team in both upstream and downstream activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on execution of all aspects of manufacturing (GMP and non-GMP).
  • Support upstream and downstream biomanufacturing activities including plant growth, filtration, chromatography, buffer preparation, sterile filling.
  • Set up and follow GMP protocols.
  • Identify technical and maintenance issues and implement creative solutions.
  • Ensure high quality documentation.
  • Aseptic processing
  • Purification and analytical testing
  • Engage in a broad range of activities in order to grow simAbs into a strong and reliable partner for future clients.

Job requirements

Education:

Master Degree or Bachelor in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Lab Technology or equivalent through relevant experience. Ideally you already have +/- 3 years of working experience.

Competences:

Technical skills:

  • Mammalian cell handling
  • Plant growth
  • Skilled in aseptic working
  • Skilled in Quality Control
  • Skilled in GMP
  • Standard molecular biology techniques are a plus:
  • Gel electrophoresis (agarose and SDS-PAGE)
  • PCR
  • Cloning (plasmid design and construction)
  • Bacterial work (transformation, plasmid isolation, plasmid validation)
  • Sanger sequencing analyses
  • ELISA
  • HPLC
  • Spectrophotometry

  • High degree of accuracy, well organized and result oriented team player
  • Strong and honest communicator
  • Flexible both in content as in time (occasional working during the weekend, early morning, evening or night)
